<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">The proposed work consists reprocessing using morphological operations and then segmentation of optic disc and optic cup by using the morphological operations. These operations are minimizing errors detection limit of the optic disc due to blood vessels cross. Then, the cup to disc ratio (CDR) is calculated using these operations. The cup to disc ratio is more than 0.3 then patients are glaucoma otherwise normal. Spatially Weighted Fuzzy C Mean (SWFCM) clustering method is used to segment the optic disc and Superpixel algorithm is used to segment the optic cup. The segmented optic disc and cup are then used to compute the CDR for glaucoma screening. Optic disc and cup segmentation of fundus image are considered for Diabetic Retinopathy Detection and Glaucoma detection. In this paper, we are considering one simple image and its part will be implemented by using VHDL family Altra Quartus II, which is a programmable logic device design software produced by Altera. Quartus II enables analysis and synthesis of HDL designs, which enables the developer to compile their designs, perform timing analysis, examine RTL diagrams, simulate a design's reaction to different stimuli, and configure the target device with the programmer. Quartus includes an implementation of VHDL and Verilog for hardware description, visual editing of logic circuits, and vector waveform simulation. The implemented results using MATLAB shows accurate results obtained both for diabetic retinopathy as well as glaucoma.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">The motivation that led to the writing of the present paper is the necessity to exploit the high-velocity energy of River Nile that obtained when River Atbara meets River Nile in Atbara town which is located in River Nile State. At the junction of the two rivers high-velocity energy is gained, and therefore, a suitable energy converter is needed to utilize this abundant energy. This research paper is a continuation of a series of researches executed by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Atbara to utilize the hydraulic energy of River Nile and try to convert it into a suitable form of energy for the general good of the simple citizens of River Nile and the Northern States. It was found that the efficiency of the energy converter (i.e. water current turbine) increases with the increase of the angle of incidence. It reaches a peak value of approximately 35.7% at 83 degrees, and then it decreases sharply with any further increase in the angle of incidence.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Clickstream data is one of the most important sources of information in websites usage and customers' behavior in Banks e-services. A number of web usage mining scenarios are possible depending on the available information. While simple traffic analysis based on clickstream data may easily be performed to improve the e-banks services. The banks need data mining techniques to substantially improve Banks e-services activities. The relationships between data mining techniques and the Web usage mining are studied. Web structure mining has three types of these types are web usage structure, mining data streams, and web content. The integration between the Web usage mining and data mining techniques are presented for processes at different stages, including the pattern discovery phases, and introduces banks cases, that have analytical mining technique. A general framework for fully integrating domain Web usage mining and data mining techniques are represented for processes at different stages. Data Mining techniques can be very helpful to the banks for better performance, acquiring new customers, fraud detection in real time, providing segment based products, and analysis of the customers purchase patterns over time. And in Market Segmentation The importance of data mining techniques for market segmentation is becoming indispensable in the field of marketing research. This is the first identified academic literature review of the available data mining techniques related to market segmentation. This research paper provides surveys of the available literature on data mining techniques in market segmentation. Eight online journal databases were used for searching, and finally, 103 articles were selected and categorized into 13 groups based on data mining techniques. The utility of data mining techniques and suggestions are also discussed. The findings of this study show that neural networks is the most used method, and kernel-based method is the most promising data mining techniques. Our research work provides a comprehensive understanding of past, present as well as future research trend on data mining techniques in market segmentation.</dc:description>

Standing is natural and itself doesn’t pose a specific health risk. But standing for a very long duration has an immense share in many health complications. The aim of this study is to determine which type of footwear is healthier to wear while standing for long periods. Five physically fit participants ( ) were chosen from lthe ive industrial environment. All the five participants participated in this study without disturbing their usual work as ma achine operator. Photo-plethysmography (PPG) was used to collect continuous heart rate information from each participant. Each participant was observed for six hours each day for two consecutive days, wearing different footwear each day. The information collected was used to calculate total energy expenditure during the experimentation period.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">The observation of food intake and ingestive behavior remains an open problem that has significant implications in the study and treatment of obesity and eating disorders. A novel method of fusing a sensor and pattern recognition method was developed to detect periods of food intake based on non-invasive monitoring of chewing. A surface-type EMG electrode was used to capture the movement of the lower jaw from volunteers during periods of quiet sitting, and food consumption. These signals were processed to extract the most relevant features, identifying from 4 to 10 features most critical for classifying the type of food consumed. Fuzzy classifiers were trained to create food intake, detection models. The simplicity of the sensor may result in a less intrusive and simpler way to detect food intake. The proposed system is implemented using LabVIEW. The proposed methodology could lead to the development of a wearable sensor system to assess eating behaviors of individuals and also to calculate the quantity of food intake.</dc:description>

To achieve this, the analytical-synthetic method of the non-experimental type was used, applying the survey technique; in addition to the bibliographic review, where the criteria of several authors are exposed. Obtaining, as a result, the types of instruments that teachers use in the evaluation process and at what time they apply it. It was obtained that the teachers maintain the active use of traditional instruments that allow the qualification easily, but a weak use of instruments that enhance the formative evaluation, as well as the lack of resources and knowledge about digital interactive tools, that allow innovation and interaction accordingly to the global culture in which today's society develops.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">This paper reviewed ten international publication about the effectiveness of Artificial Intelligence in Education: During the Pandemic and Learning in the future. Since the pandemic has disrupted world education, distance learning has become an alternative by relying on machine learning. To understand the extent of the power of artificial intelligence in education both during the COVID-19 period and the future learning period, we try to understand it through the example of ten international scientific publications that speak out about artificial intelligence in education today and the future of earning. Besides reviewing ten papers, we also conducted an online search engine for related literature. We performed searches with keywords such as "artificially intelligent," "learning during a pandemic," and "future learning," Then, we analyzed a phenomenological approach to ensure our findings answered the study questions under a qualitative method design. By considering the evidence of research and literature, we can summarize our findings, among others, that the critical understanding of artificial intelligence in education, the use of AI in education, typical Learning in the pandemic era, and the role of AI in pandemic learning as long as residents and future Learning still depend on data patterns and automation based on learning tasks that are smarter than usual.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Geographic information systems are tools used in the organization and planning of the territory; they show physical-spatial information on different topics very opportune for decision making. In Latin America, several countries are using it for the purposes of inventories of the different renewable energy sources, fundamentally in order to know where they are located, these are a potential for local development and improve the energy sustainability of the territories. For the development of the research, a bibliography search was carried out, to know the countries of the region that are developing geoportals that contribute to local development, use of natural resources and mainly energy resources, as a result it was obtained that most of the Countries are working on inventories that help decision-making in national and territorial development programs, mainly natural and energy resources.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">This paper proposes a solution to facilitate maintenance activities associated with stand-alone solar photovoltaic installations in our developing countries. The autonomous photovoltaic solar installation is not connected to the electricity distribution grid. It meets the electricity needs on the one hand, of those who are too far away and who do not have access to the distribution grid. On the other hand, those who wish to overcome the constraints of connection to the electrical distribution grid. Our work focuses on the capitalization of knowledge in maintenance activity. The goal is to propose a model capable of helping maintenance technicians during their interventions by providing them with knowledge elements that will be drawn from a knowledge base. This knowledge base is built from the knowledge collected during previous maintenance activities in a given solar photovoltaic installation.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Bauxite waste sludge is quite dangerous when polluted into the surrounding environment. The number is increasing with the higher mining production. The utilization is still not maximized hence it is unbalanced to the increasing number, and it is necessary to use on a large scale. Sub-grade soil could use a lot of bauxite waste sludge but in reality, this waste is unsafe to use and its characteristics are mud the requirements of bearing capacity according to the AASHTO and USCS Classification unfulfilled. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of probiotic bacteria in bauxite waste on its physical characteristics and pH value. This experimental research method develops test objects according to ASTM standards with the same weight of bauxite waste and variations in the number of probiotic bacteria, namely 25 ml, 50 ml, 75 ml, and 100 ml and the incubation time of bacteria is 7 days, 14 days, 21 days, 28 days, 35 days, and 42 days. The results showed that the test specimens with more bacteria and longer incubation times resulted in lower pH values and physical characteristics that fulfilled the requirements for sub-grade soil.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">The article deals with the issues of error detection and correction in the second order bi-pulse code. The analysis of the code generation algorithm is carried out, based on which it is shown that the code has 4 allowed four-bit combinations. The article considers own resources of a code which allow detecting and correcting both single errors and packets of errors. It is shown that errors are detected with probability of 1 when one, two and three bits of the code combination are distorted, while the probability of their correction does not exceed 0.5, in the case of distortion of all four symbols, both detection and correction of errors is impossible. To increase the probability of error correction, it is proposed to use a well-known method based on determining the parity or oddness of the allowed combinations in separate fragments of a linear signal, a brief description of the method is given, its analysis is carried out in relation to this code. It is shown that the use of this method makes it possible to correct all single, paired and three-time errors, as well as to detect all four-time errors, on the basis of which it can be concluded that it significantly improves the correcting properties of the signal under consideration.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">The purpose of this article is to analyze the indicators and risk categories of contractor construction industry service providers. This research method uses literature review and is strengthened by Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The literature review aims to increase the understanding and find appropriate sources for research, which are obtained from sources that will be the basis of this research. From the literature review also obtained the risk factors to be studied. Furthermore, the results of the literature review are carried out in FGDs, to see their relevance to field needs. The selected FGD participants were construction service providers in the contractor sector. There are 2 risk factors to identify risk for construction service providers in the field of contractors in handling projects, namely risks in the management/office and risks in the field. Construction service providers in construction work need to carry out a detailed post cost analysis of risks at each stage of the construction business process in management and risk in the field by distinguishing between the pre-tender process, the construction process, and the maintenance period.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">All countries in the world have a high dependence on energy. Predictions of energy demand continue to increase in all countries, so savings measures are needed. One of the saving measures in the power generation industry is an overhaul. An overhaul is a maintenance activity that must be carried out periodically to maintain the NPHR performance of the power plant as it was when the initial conditions were built. This study aims to (1) determine the performance of the power plant before and after overhaul, (2) determine how the PLTU performs at 50%, 75%, and 100% load, and (3) analyze the techno-economics of overhaul activities with a serious type inspection. The results of this study explain that the three treatments of the post-overhaul loading pattern have a good impact on the PLTU, namely in the form of a decrease in the NPHR after the overhaul work. The impact of the reduced post-overhaul NPHR value at this PLTU is that it can save fuel costs of 17.5 billion rupiah per year. The cost for this overhaul work is 14.9 billion rupiah so in 1 year it can save around 2.6 billion rupiah.</dc:description>

This research aimed to apply said simulator to facilitate the understanding of key concepts such as energy conservation, types of energy and energy transformation. Theoretical methods were used to collect information and empirical methods to evaluate its effectiveness, such as survey, interview and observation sheet. The results obtained showed that the use of the PhET simulation promoted a better understanding of mechanical energy concepts, allowing students to interactively visualize complex phenomena that would otherwise be difficult to illustrate with traditional methods. Furthermore, it was found that this digital tool made the teaching-learning process more attractive and dynamic, significantly improving the participation and motivation of students in the classroom.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">The research sought to integrate information and communication technologies (ICT) into the administrative management of small commercial businesses in the city of Guayaquil, in 2022. Based on the "Buenrostro model", the following categories of analysis were established to guide the study: 1) socioeconomic characteristics of the entrepreneurs, 2) basic ICT equipment, 3) use of ICT in the company's activities, and 4) difficulties in using ICT. A descriptive, observational, cross-sectional, and prospective methodology was applied based on a solely qualitative approach. The problem faced by small business owners is the lack of efficiency in processes and difficulty in accessing relevant information. The objective of the research is to describe the characteristics of the integration of ICT in the Administrative management of small commercial businesses. The study population consisted of 10 owners of small commercial businesses located in the city of Guayaquil, intentionally selected under certain inclusion criteria. Open-ended interviews and a non-participatory observation guide were used as data collection techniques. The results obtained contributed to a state-of-the-art analysis of the phenomenon analyzed for broader and more in-depth studies. Given that there are limited background information or studies on the integration of ICTs at the local level, and even more so in the business sector, it is evident that entrepreneurs are not receiving support from state institutions.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">The growing need to integrate sustainability, technological innovation, and territorial development has driven new ways of conceiving geopark management. In this context, multimodal tourism 4.0 emerges as an integrative approach that combines advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, and augmented reality. The objective of this research is to propose a methodology for geopark design management based on this approach. A mixed-methods, quasi-experimental, cross-sectional study was conducted in the Moa-Baracoa region of Cuba. The sample consisted of 200 participants selected through simple random sampling (100 in Moa and 100 in Baracoa), representing 30% of potential users. The results highlight limitations in traditional management models and demonstrate the feasibility of incorporating multimodal technologies to optimize decision-making. It is concluded that the proposed methodology promotes intelligent, participatory, and sustainable geopark management.</dc:description>
