A study of Balinese sentence structure
Keywords:
Meaning, Sentence, StructureAbstract
As one of Indonesia's major regional languages, Balinese possesses both oral traditions and a written script. In the context of speech, Balinese sentence structures warrant examination. Three fundamental sentence structures in Balinese require study: declarative sentences, interrogative sentences, and imperative sentences. Declarative sentences are those that convey statements and expressions of feeling. Interrogative sentences are those designed to elicit a response in the form of an answer. Imperative sentences are those designed to elicit a response in the form of an action or deed.
